WHAT THE CRITICS ARE SAYING ABOUT TERESE GENECCO!
From TIME OUT NEW YORK MAGAZINE (Oct 23-29, 2008) "The super fun Frisco singer swings into the Met Room: San Francisco's marvelous Terese Genecco - whose last two sets ranked among TONY's top ten in both 2006 and 2007 - returns to the Met Room. Goosed by a cooking seven-piece band, Genecco's snappy, zippy swing leaves you feeling happily woven into an inner circle of frisky retro fun!"
"If Dean Martin and Judy Garland had had a fling, Terese Genecco would have been the result!" ~The San Francisco Examiner
"Genecco throws a high-energy musical party with a swingin' band, a hip crowd, and lots of cocktails!" ~Contra Costa Times
"Terese Genecco swings SF like it's Vegas! Genecco’s sheer personality lights up the stage as much as her vocals in a Las Vegas-style performance that amusingly has a two-ballad limit. Cabaret lovers won't want to miss her 'Last Call!'" ~ SF Examiner
"If you don't know Genecco, you should. She's a pint-sized dynamo...neither precious nor twee...but rather vivacious, funny and gifted with the need to swing in a big, bold way... It's a gloomy world out there, but with Terese Genecco and her Little Big Band in the house, it's a whole lot brighter!" ~ Chad Jones, Oakland Tribune, SF Examiner, www.theaterdogs.net

TIME OUT NEW YORK magazine fell in love with Terese, calling her tribute show, "DRUNK WITH LOVE:A TRIBUTE TO FRANCES FAYE!" one of their TOP LIVE SHOWS for the week of October 12th, 2006. Their Arts & Entertainment Editor, Elisabeth Vincentelli, wrote on her blogsite: "Genecco is more wattage - and fun - than an entire evening of Rufus Wainwright at Carnegie Hall!"
Terese is regularly joined on stage by the legendary "MR BONGO" himself, JACK COSTANZO who played on Frances Faye's live, 1958 LP, "Caught In The Act!" And let's not forget the rest of the *little big band* with the following personnel: BARRY LEVITT (NYC,) and TAMMY HALL (SF) on piano, KENNY LAVENDER (NYC,) and RICH ARMSTRONG (SF) on trumpet, CLIFF LYONS (NYC,) FIL LORENZ (SF,) TONY MALFATTI (SF,) and RON STARR (SF) on tenor sax, MARK MILLER (NYC) and MAX PERKOFF (SF) on trombone, JOE ABBA (NYC) and KELLY PARK (SF) on drums, MAYRA CASALES (NYC,) DAMIEN BASSMAN (NYC,) JACOB LAWLOR (SF,) and JACK COSTANZO on Latin Percussion, and DANIEL FABRICANT (SF,) and JON BURR (NYC) on bass!! Terese employs a phenomenal line-up of musicians in every city, who continually blow the roof off whatever venue they find themselves in.
As one reviewer wrote, "Fifty years from now, someone will be doing a tribute show to Terese Genecco!"
